Gallery updates information

Be able to subscribe to a concrete App in the Gallery so you can receive an email or notification when an App is updated. Several times I have been using an App that suddenly stops working properly because there's a new version available, but actually there's no way to be aware of this unless you check the date of the last version updated.

It will be ideal if you could subscribe to the app to receive new updates notifications or if Alteryx Designer could give automatically notifications of updates in the Gallery of Apps you have installed.

This would be really simple if there was an area on the community dedicated to Apps / Macros with a page to each. You could then subscribe to the threads you wanted updates on.

This is a great one for the Server team, as they envision the next generation of capabilities of the server and for the plans for Connect.

I can easily imagine a model where a user can pick an item that they are interested in (a table or report or enterprise conforming dimension) and subscribe to be notified when this changes in any way.    This would work really well in the Connect environment!

Thanks @pablo_saenz and all for posting the idea and feedback. As @SeanAdams mentioned, we have a Subscribe concept available in Connect that addresses part of your request. As we iterate on our Gallery and integrate our new products, Connect and Promote, we will be sure to consider how users can subscribe to notifications for the various views and objects that are available.

Thank you for your idea! We are really interested in this idea, however we cannot fit this idea on the near future road map. We’ll keep this idea in mind however and update the status once we’re better able to speak on when or if we can implement it.
