Community Chat (Possibly Twitter)

Hi @JulieH (et al),

What's the social conversation going on right now about #alteryx (or other followed hashtags)?  We can see who's logged into the community, but what about a feed of the greater social universe?  Could we integrate a twitter feed into the community?

Along with that, maybe users would want to have instant messaging to the public (contained within the community) as a lighter form of posts.

Just a few related ideas.

Thanks for the idea, @MarqueeCrew! From a technical perspective, its definitely possible to incorporate a twitter feed into the Community.  It'd be interesting/useful to hear what others think about adding a live Twitter feed, or something similar, to the Community.  For clarification purposes,  it sounds like what your suggesting is more around capturing user generated social content about Alteryx within the Community, as opposed to what we (Alteryx) share via social channels, correct? ;)

I know it's more of a gaming thing, but a Discord channel might be really cool.  Or maybe a Slack group.  Just somewhere that a live conversation can be had.

As the Alteryx Community has matured and expanded, we've created a space for ourselves that lives somewhat separately from social media presence and feeds.  Moving this to Not Planned for the time being, as moderation and and management of something like this can get unwieldy very quickly.
