If you are installing two different versions of Alteryx Designer and their respective predictive tools- there is an order of operation.    1.  Install the Administrative Version of Alteryx Designer. 2.  Install the Administrative Version of Alteryx R/Predictive tools. 3.  Install the Non-Administrative Version of Alteryx Designer. 4.  Install the Non-Administrative Version of Alteryx R/Predictive tools.

Locate to file path: C:\ProgramData\Alteryx. After doing this can you please rename RuntimeSettings.xml and restart Alteryx. This will then clear out the error you're receiving.

When installing alteryx, the installer gets stuck on the python dependency window

The quoted and none options do not work when using In-DB tools.

With the release of version 11.7, we've upgraded the graphic displays of Data Profiles.  This includes more attractive charts as well as many new options to customize their display.

Have you ever wanted to do a Cross Tab, but needed the results in a particular order?  You've probably discovered that Cross Tab will dutifully change your data to column headings and keep the rest of the data correlated, but that the output columns will be arranged in alphabetical order.  It's as if there were a Select tool with the "Sort on Field Name" Option thrown into your workflow without you putting it there.  \n

Some Excel files, particularly those created by third-party programs, are encoded differently than Alteryx expects. In many cases, such files can be opened in Excel and then saved, resulting in files that Alteryx can open. If you observe an error message like Error: Salesforce Input (1) File " ", line 1 os.environ['PATH'] = r"... please read on to learn how to adjust the environment variables to resolve it. This can happen with any one of several Connector tools, not just the tool mentioned in the example.

An "Unhandled Exception" thrown when starting Designer, appears when the user clicks on the splash screen. Looking at C:\ProgramData\Alteryx\ErrorLogs reveals the following error type: System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException Message: Could not find a part of the path 'F:\.....'

Joining fields with name changes and reordering can be tricky. It's important that the data from Join tool anchors have field names that allow the Union tool to stack the data appropriately.

Very rarely Designer can crash with a big red X across a window. One such situation has been observed and resolved.
