Creating a Check point in Workflow

Dear Team

If we are having a heavy Workflow in development phase, consider that we are in the last section of development. Every time when we run the workflow it starts running from the Input Tool. Rather we can have a checkpoint tool where in the data flow will be fixed until the check point and running my work flow will start from that specific check point input.

This reduces my Development time a lot. Please advice on the same.

There are a few versions of this in the previous ideas - one is called "restart from here".   Well worth you doing a quick scan back through the archive of ideas and adding your support to those versions (since they have a large amount of commentary and discussion and support already)

I happy that this future is coming up in the latest 2018.1 or 2018.2 version of Alteryx. I heard that this tool is named as Cache tool.

Thanks for the idea @GowthamRaja! We're releasing a version of caching in the upcoming 2018.3 release, which allows you to right-click on a tool in the workflow and create a cache temp file. Next time the workflow is run, it would start at that cache.
