Greenplum / Postgresql Bulk Loader Capability

Greenplum / Postgresql Bulk Loader Capability much like the oracle and MS Sql.

@ARich Can you help us understand why not?

Writing create table scripts over ODBC results in pretty awful performance. One of the main benefits of most in-db support is bulk loading.

Having a hard time understand why this wouldn't be on the roadmap - at my company this would be a huge advantage and would help with funding conversations, especially when others are arguing on behalf of traditional ETL tools that do provide this.

@M_ThompsonWatermark depends on some factors but my experience is that it's slow. Bulk loading is hugely important if significant volume is involved.
