Alteryx Designer should automatically save my modules on a regular basis so that if I have a failure of some sort, my hard work will not be lost.

Even better add a version control system so that modules can reverted to prior versions.

Check out the new auto save capabilitiy in 9.1 under user settings.   Version control is planned for a future release.
