Hi there,

Apologies if Alteryx already does this - but I'd be curious to see if it would be possible to automatically add items to your favourites bar based on usage.

To test this, I've been doing a lot of macro work over the last few days, and given the frequency of using the Macro input and Macro output, I'd expect that they would have elected themselves onto my favourites list.

Again, apologies if the designer already does this

Yep - this one is in there already. From the tool palette, simply select the tool and click the star icon in the top right, or you can right click on the tool and select "Add to Favorites."

Thank you Tara, apologies that I misworded this.

As you say, it is possible to mark your favourite tools, the question was more about whether Alteryx is keeping telemetry in the background that knows the tools I use most often as well/if not better than I do.  

So, the idea is "can alteryx automatically add things to my favorites tab based on my usage history, without waiting for me to do the introspection".  this way the favorites tab becomes a dynamic representation of the tools that I use most often without me having to do anything.
