Submission GuidelinesHello,
After used the new "Image Recognition Tool" a few days, I think you could improve it :
> by adding the dimensional constraints in front of each of the pre-trained models,
> by adding a true tool to divide the training data correctly (in order to have an equivalent number of images for each of the labels)
> at least, allow the tool to use black & white images (I wanted to test it on the MNIST, but the tool tells me that it necessarily needs RGB images) ?
Question : do you in the future allow the user to choose between CPU or GPU usage ?
In any case, thank you again for this new tool, it is certainly perfectible, but very simple to use, and I sincerely think that it will allow a greater number of people to understand the many use cases made possible thanks to image recognition.
Thank you again

Thank you again.

Within the select tool when you have hilighted a set of rows it would be NICE to be able to RIGHT-CLICK for OPTIONS rather than have to move the cursor up to the options to get to choices.
Thanks,
Mark
I've come to realize that the JOIN tool is case-sensitive by design but it would be helpful if you could turn that behavior on/off (via checkbox?) within the JOIN tool. For those of us that work predominantly in database environments that are not case-sensitive, this default behavior has caused me problems many times. Having to force the case to either upper or lower upstream of the JOIN on both flows in order to ensure a successful join is an extra step that would not be necessary if you could disable case-sensitive with a checkbox.
I find it very difficult to read Warnings in the Messages palette because the text is a light yellow against a white backgroud.
I'd love to be able to change either the text color, the background color of the palette, or both.
I think it would be great to add metadata to a yxdb. For example, I was back tracking and trying to figure out which module/app I used to create an old yxdb. Now I use Notepad++ and do a "Find In Files" Search. Wouldn't it be great it the module path would be available when you look at the properties of a yxdb in Alteryx?
Currently there is no option to edit an existing macro search path from Options-> User Settings -> Macros. Only options are Add / Delete. Ideally we need the Edit option as well.
Existing Category needs to be deleted and created again with the correct path, if search path is changed from one location to another.
Idea:
A tool for encryption/decription of a column with multiple encrypiton options is the idea.
Both one way and two way encription should be possible.
Rationale:
Clients are in need of encrypting customers' personal identification data
before sharing it with a third party like consultants and analytics service providers etc.
When insights are provided back the data owner needs to quickly decrypt the ID field and get results or decide actions.
Clients:
This is especially an important case for banks, non bank financial institutions and telecom companies in EU countries and similar (Turkey has similar strict rules)

As with Output Data tool, it would be very helpful to have this option within the Calgary Loader tool. I have a series of ordered analytic apps and if I could name the Calgary database using the "Take File/Table Name from Field" option I would be able to chain the apps and be much more efficient.
Thanks.
I recently had an error in a module because an expected variable was not present coming into a formula tool. My variable, "MONDAY" was not present and the formula MONDAY/3 failed. The workaround was to union all days into the incoming data and things worked fine. I would have liked to have an Excel formula like this instead:
IF ISERROR([Monday]/3) THEN 0 ELSE [Monday]/3 ENDIF
Thanks
default file path in "File Browser" interface app would be a nice to have feature. Similar to what we have in Numeric, Text etc. interface app.
Currently we are limited to chossing one of two layout direction options, vertical or horizontal. Why not make the direction assignable at the tool icon instead of as a module level control. I could right click the tool and have layout direction as an option which would activate a visual handle which could either allow infinite rotation control or rotation control in 45 degree increments. You can use Viso as an example of rotational control for a shape. In Visio the shape rotates, in our case since we are really looking to change the flow direction the icon could remain in the same orientation as it does now but the conenctor point(s) would rotate around the compass in say 45% increments base on the drag of the rotation handle that appears
Geohash is a latitude/longitude geocode system (public domain). It is a hierarchical spatial data structure which subdivides space into buckets of grid shape.
Geohashes offer properties like arbitrary precision and the possibility of gradually removing characters from the end of the code to reduce its size (and gradually lose precision).
As a consequence of the gradual precision degradation, nearby places will often (but not always) present similar prefixes. The longer a shared prefix is, the closer the two places are.

Pretty simple but could be helpful when troubleshooting and reviewing. Allow a user to have rows be banded in a different color, allow the user to select how to do the grouping to band. For example, a large browse tool has several thousand rows, sorted by product name. Each product has between 5 and 50 rows each. If a user could set color banding by product,.. they could easily find the "breaks" between product rows. This could be somewhat similar to the Excel table formatting option for banded rows,.. you could simply alternate bands,.. but would be nice to be able to group the bands by some column attribute in the data.
This may be a little easier than constantly opening new browse windows with the selected records,. or to use filters or other tools to group the data for review / troubleshoooting purposes.
I think it would be great, especially if you have browse tools at multiple phases in workflow, to be able to view Browse results while module is running, rather than having to wait until it's done. I think it would help with being able to head off problems sooner.
