yxdb metadata retrieval

yxdb.  It would be AWESOME to either right-click on the Input tool or use a new tool to get:

• Engine Version
• # of Records
• Writing Workflow (Path + Filename)

anything else would be icing on the cake.

It would be great if this information was stored with the yxdb and was able to be retrieved somehow.

 my first vote!  

it sure would beat scanning all yxmd files for that Output name as a string. 

I've spoken to product managers that tell me to open the YXDB with notepad to see which engine version created the file.  Good luck with a 6 GB file.

:-) I'm super curious about what data is actually contained within the YXDB Metadata as you have mentioned Mark - it would be useful to expose all of this.
