change Alias file location

I collaborate with a team using Git. We commit all of our work automatically with the exception of the Alteryx Alias file. It must be moved manually into the repository and then other teammates must move it out of the repository manually into their local folder and overwrite the old file. This is not an enterprise-friendly solution. If we could configure the location of the Alias file in Designer, we could set it to live in the repository. That way, everyone could automatically have the latest file with tracked changes. Please create this functionality. Thank you.

Fully agree with you @seven - the concept of having full integration to an enterprise version control system is incredibly important in large companies.

@TuvyL has been bringing together some thoughts about potentially starting a group that talks through and highlights enterprise needs (which are often very different than the needs of smaller shops with 1 or 2 people) - you should send her a private message on the community to introduce yourself and give some context of where you'd like to contribute to the Enterprise discussion!

1. The idea has not had activity in the form of likes or comments in over a year.

2. The idea has not reached ten likes.

3. The idea is still in the 'New Idea' status. 

However, this doesn't mean your idea won't be implemented! The Community can still like and comment on this idea. With enough renewed interest, this idea can be brought back into the 'New Idea' status.

This functionality would have been of use to me as well because of limitation on the ability to write to default AppData locations.
