NTLM Proxy Authentication

While Alteryx allows for a proxy username and password in the settings, these are not passed properly to an NTLM proxy. Support for NTLM authentication would be incredibly useful for a number of corporations who utilize this firewall setup.

We currently have to either download via Python or cURL through batch commands called by Alteryx. Since Alteryx uses a cURL back-end, this should be a fairly simple addition to the existing download tool by allowing a selection of proxy server, port, and authentication method in addition to the proxy username and password. This could be done either in the tool itself or in User Settings.

YES! This would be a a huge plus for the download tool. Currently we are restricted to using cURL within a command tool which is not as easily incorporated into our workflows as a download tool with NTLM support would be. Please consider this.

Alteryx team, please look into this.. Not only there are 5 ideas for this, I've also found dozens of post about people discussing about this. Workaround for this issue are difficult and slow.

The support for NTLM proxy auth was implemented in Designer 24.2. Although it's not applicable for each and every connector, Download tool is one of those capable of leveraging this feature.
