Linking Comment Boxes To An Object

It would be great if you could link a comment box to an object.  This would be great because if the objects moves for what ever reason the comment would stay with it.

This may not be the solution you are looking for, but it is a solution:

If you select the tool configuration for the tool you want the comment attached to, click on the "annotation" symbol (looks like a ticket on the diagonal). You can add annotations that follow the tool there. I do this a lot. I also rename the connectios (instead of #1; #2; etc.), so they show up in the union tool with the name of the data stream. This helps in rearranging the output order.

Love this idea, especially if you could link a comment to a group of tools...so you can move objects together

The status of this idea has been changed to 'Inactive'. This status indicates that:

1. The idea has not had activity in the form of likes or comments in over a year.

2. The idea has not reached ten likes.

3. The idea is still in the 'New Idea' status. 

However, this doesn't mean your idea won't be implemented! The Community can still like and comment on this idea. With enough renewed interest, this idea can be brought back into the 'New Idea' status.
