Full-column Preserve Formatting in Excel Output

Using the Output tool to send data to a formatted spreadsheet apparently doesn't preserve formatting if the entire column is formatted.  I'd love this changed to keep the formatting when its applied to an entire column.  See this thread in Designer Discussions.

This functionality is very much needed. Formatting columns is much more efficient than formatting a range of cells. Formatting ranges blows up the Excel file size, where-as column formatting does not.

I believe I'm finding this to be still an issue in 24.2.

This would be a nice one to fix as selecting a large range causes Excel files to have significant bloat, both in size and time to read/write.
