Filter and search tables in config window

If the tables in the config window has lots of rows, it is quite complicated to find those of interest.

Please add a filter or search option (e.g. by the field name) to display only the relevant rows.

It would also be helpful to select or deselect multiple selected rows with one click.

Find an example from the "Select-Tool":

I agree.

That should be implemented in the select tool and all the other tools with the select embedded, or even in other tools that you can work with multiple fields, like Summarize and Find / Replace.

There are a few similar ideas to add the ability to search for fields, such as this post - https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Ideas/Searchable-Fields-in-Sort-Tool/idi-p/1004643

which has been moved to the status of accepting votes, so hopefully we will see this functionality being added to designer soon.

This would be a great addition! But not just within the select tool, there's a number of tools that include an embedded select (Join, Append Fields etc.) that could use this functionality too!

This is a great idea! Especially when dealing with very large data sets.

Honestly would be amazing especially if, as you typed in the search, it filtered down based on the string almost like a ctrl+F function within a browser. That way if you have 9 rows that all start or contain a particular string you can grab those immediately without having to input a full field name or even click enter.

Doing a little Community cleanup today and stumbled upon this one...

The ability to search for fields in any tool with the Select UI has been available since version 2022.3! Typing in the search bar at the upper right corner of configuration will filter your list of fields to those that match on either Field, Rename, or Description. BONUS feature: We've also added a checkbox in the header to allow you to quickly select all/deselect all fields! Happy Alteryx-ing!
