When trying to figure out how to add a tool to "favorites", I found that you could only do so from their placement in their respective category (tool palette). There were some tools where I did not know in which category they belonged. I asked the community for help, and together we had to hunt down a given tool's category by diving into Alteryx Documentation webpages. Only then, after learning the category, and adding that category to the tool palette, could you add a given tool to the favorites tab.
Similarly, when you discover a new tool from someone else's workflow, you have to go Documentation spelunking to learn in which category it lives.
Lastly, when creating macros, you have to go into each individual macro's metadata in order to choose a category for it to belong.
Why not just be able to right-click the tool from the canvas to add to "favorites"?
