Dynamic input - error if a file is skipped

This has probably been mentioned before, but in case it hasn't....

Right now, if the dynamic input tool skips a file (which it often does!) it just appears as a warning and continues processing. Whilst this is still useful to continue processing, could it be built as an option in the tool to select a 'error if files are skipped'?

Right now it is either easy to miss this is happening, or in production / on server you may want this process to be stopped.

Thanks,

Andy

Hello!

Thank you for submitting your feedback and idea to the Designer Idea Board! I've updated your idea to include a few extra labels so the correct product teams have visibility into this idea once the necessary criteria have been met. If you haven't yet please be sure to check out our Submission Guidelines.

I had no idea that the Dynamic Input tool just warned on failed files.  Erroring should be the default, and you should be able to drop to warning by checkbox.

Thank you for your feedback!

Our product team has reviewed this idea and determined we're unable to include this feature in the near future roadmap. However we would like to keep it in mind for future releases and plan to re-review this idea once road map availability arises. We'll do our best to insure this idea gets updated when that review occurs.

Hey @andyuttley - this falls into the category of "An error output on every single tool" - if we had an error output on the dynamic input tool, then these could be then sidelined for reprocessing later on.
