Add header data to emails to allow FTP sites to recognize there is an attachment

I would like to be able to email attachments to fileshare sites.  I can't because the email that Alteryx sends out is missing the required header data that tells the fileshare there is an attachment.

This is what the email should have but it does not.

X-MS-Has-Attach: yes

I worked this issue with Alteryx support probably a year ago and had hoped to see this as an improvement, but it's not there.

There are other ways to get data to fileshare sites, and every single one of them has failed for various reasons. Email would by far be the simplest way if the right header data were included.

I had same issue and only workaround I found is to use generic mailbox where Alteryx sends emails, set rule in mailbox to redirect those emails to final destination. After email is redirected, header data are there.

@q836867 That's a good solution.  We wound up using the Blob and Download tools.

I know this is a year or more over, but how did you use the Blob and Download tools to add headers? It is relevant to my current needs

Hey @FreeRangeDingo - I know this has passed long ago - but would another approach be to mech up the eMail using Python?

Fully agree that the best option would be the ability to adjust the headers in the existing eMail tool (just like you can with much of the rest of the eMail config).
