Take a moment to introduce yourself to the Community. We'd love to get to know you!
Learn MoreMy name is John Zurales and I am excited to be part of the community.
I am working in a tax department role where we will be using Alteryx to build automations to help streamline the data needed by the tax function for various tax computations. The tax function of a company relies upon a wide variety of data that comes from across the company for all the different tax types we are responsible for. This also a great way to get to know the business and develop internal contacts, while learning about the data from a very wide variety of business perspectives.
I had worked with Alteryx about 2 years ago, and was familiar with about 2/3 of the topics that lead to core certification. I would appreciate any suggestions to get back up to speed.
Thanks
John
hi @JohnZ_2022
Great to have you here in the community!
Alteryx used to automate a tax department role makes me very excited - i hope the rollout is easy for you!
Also - definitely get back on the wagon for getting the core certification or advanced. Its definitely worth it. I have a couple of suggestions below on how to speed up your development (from my experience anyhow)!
If you need anything let me know!
Be sure to have a look around the community - its really a fantastic place for learning. A couple of resources I would especially recommend knowing about are:
I hope you find Alteryx to be easy to learn, and intuitive to use. Do remember that almost every tool has an example workflow and help documentation if you right click the tool in the tool palette:
("Help" for the tool documentation, "Open Example" for the example workflow).
And be sure to search for/ask for help on the community if you get stuck. Alternatively, feel free to drop me a message here on the community!
Cheers,

Thanks for the reference info. I just joined the Chicago user group from the link you provided.
I attended Inspire a few years ago in Nashville and recall that there are some kinds of groups focused on topics rather than geographic regions. I thought there was a group focused on tax matters. Do you know where I would find groups like this?
Thanks
John
