About me...Who I am: My time is mostly spent with my family and working around the house. Some of my other favorite things include all things Math, Science and History; movie buff (enjoy sci-fi, mysteries, and thrillers the most); Photography (even though I’m a rank amature!); music (food for the soul; blues and classic rock are my go-to genres although it’s hard to beat a good classical piece); and quite fond of Theater & Musical Productions, as well as playing guitar. Once everyone has gone to bed, you’ll often find me curled up with a good book.
What I do: I am a Data Scientist at Paychex, Inc. We have over 600,000 clients across more than 100 locations. On average, one out of every 12 private sector employees receive a paycheck generated by my company. My team and I are responsible for combing through mountains of data to create predictive models aimed at increasing sales, retention, and value brought to clients; all while moving the company forward in the era of “big data”. I have been with Paychex for since 1995 and have served as a Senior Payroll Specialist, Senior Payroll Tax Compliance Analyst, and since 2007 I have worked as a Data Scientist in the Data Science & Predictive Analytics group.
Academia-----I earned a B.A. in Mathematics from the State University of New York at Geneseo. While working on my M.S. at the Rochester Institute of Technology, I served as an adjunct professor at Finger Lakes Community College (Canandaigua, NY) teaching Statistics.
