It was great meeting with everyone last week. We had a full agenda which can be found in the attached powerpoint.
We spoke about the Inspire Conference and specifically the AI highlights from the conference. We overviewed some of the strengths and weaknesses of Alteryx Copilot and some useful prompts that I found in my testing of it.
Elizabeth Somers gave a very useful presentation on a PDF reader tool in Alteryx that can be downloaded for free here:

Joe Kressler from Alteryx called in to demonstrate some LLM designer tools and Auto Insights.
Thank you all for attending and look to the community page for the next user meeting in the Fall.

This is meant to be non-formal, informative and fun way of sharing ideas, best practices, and case studies with a group of peers across the Tampa community. We have a full agenda for topics to discuss and open participation is encouraged but certainly not required if you want to just listen and learn. There are a number of nice restaurants near PwC that we can go to after the user group meeting for food and drinks. Date: 08/14 Time: 3:00 - 5:00 pm EST Location: PWC Office 4040 W Boy Scout Blvd, Tampa
Guest parking is available in the parking garage located adjacent to the office on N Grady Ave. The parking garage can be accessed by entering from N Grady Ave or the access road connected to the roundabout in the middle of the Metwest International complex.
Please RSVP if you intend to attend the meeting and we will have printed up guest passes for you at the PwC front desk to grant you access through security. I will be escorting people from the lobby to the training room. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early prior to the meeting as I will need to escort people to the training room.

Hello Tampa User Group,
It was great meeting with everyone again earlier this month. I just returned from the Alteryx Inspire Conference in Las Vegas last week so we will have plenty to discuss during our next meeting. Stay tuned for the next meeting invite but I'd like to get something planned in June while the energy of Inspire is still sky high.
I'd like to briefly recap what we reviewed during the prior meeting and include some attachments to some of the workflows that were demonstrated.
Leader Team
1.Joe Hollub Tax Innovations, PwC
2.Forrest Harper Director of Platform Management, JLL
3.Eloy Ochoa Senior Alteryx Developer, Wipro
We spent the first half of the session reviewing different options for Alteryx outputs and the strengths and weaknesses of using output tools vs reporting tools. We included some tips and tricks for different reporting options including using the blob tools mixed with the block until done tools to utilize a dynamically named excel template. I have attached the documentation link that I was showing during the presentation:
https://help.alteryx.com/current/en/designer/tools/reporting.html
Reporting Tools
Strengths
Better at batch processing high numbers of reports or tabs on the same report
Create PDFs, emails, non excel format
Weaknesses
Not as user friendly
All tabs on an excel report must have the same total column width
Data can be truncated or lost if improperly configured
Output Tools
Strengths
Easier to configure in Alteryx. Easier to make dynamic
Can utilize existing Excel templates, tables, and formatting
Weaknesses
Need to use block until done tools
Difficult to troubleshoot if you get the error: Excel has detected an error: attempt to repair workbook
We spent the remaining time workshopping a live use case. Nobody else had a use case that they wanted to share so I shared one of my current projects related to utilizing a batch macro to mass ingest all types of files within a directory, identify what type of input template it is, scrape the data based on that ID, then fit into a common output template. Please feel free to use this as an open forum to workshop solutions for future sessions. I've received feedback that these live sessions are helpful to others by seeing how other people think through similar use cases that we all see.
