designer and server upgrade

I am planning to upgrade server version to 020.1 in the next few days, does the designer need to upgrade to the same to scedule workflows.

Yes, the designer use you to schedule workflows and/or send apps to the Gallery needs to be the same version as server.

@mbarone - is this explicitly true?  My understanding is that as long as Designer is of an equal (or older) version than Server, there should be no issues.  The same cannot be said if Designer is newer than the Server version.
