Highlights June Banner.png

Well, it's August, and summer is winding down (at least in the northern hemisphere).  I hope that you all had a fabulous July, and that you have been staying safe! Here's what you may have missed last month in the Alteryx Community!

In Case You Missed It

*Community news & announcements.

Community Q&A Session

Last month we had Dean Stoecker participate in a live Question and Answer session around the future role of analytics in the world, and the community brought their A-Game when it was time to ask him their most pressing questions on the subject! We had so many questions, in fact, that Dean didn't have time to answer all of them live; luckily, we have a follow-up blog addressing the questions we couldn't get to in the time allotted, as well as a replay of the live event if you couldn't make it!

ADAPT

Several of our ADAPT Program participants have begun to complete their program, and I couldn't be more thrilled for them!  The curriculum is not necessarily easy to master, and this means that they've dedicated themselves to working hard and making sure that they put in the time and effort to finish.  Check out our graduates thread here to see what they have to say about the program!

Speaking of ADAPT, we have another great blog by @SusanCS  in which she interviews Leeia Isabel (@Leeia_I) about her experience with the ADAPT program.  I don't know about you, but my favorite part of community is hearing people's stories and Leeia's is a great one.  I highly suggest you give it a read!

Upcoming Training Opportunity

On August 25th, we'll be hosting another live training session, hosted by Kacper Ksieski (@seven). This session will cover preparing your data sets, your go-to toolset, and streamlining and optimizing your workflows.  The session is open to all, but will be especially useful for those in the ADAPT program or people just getting started with Alteryx. It will begin at 10AM Eastern, so don't forget to register HERE

New episodes | Alter Everything Podcast

In episode 65: Uncomfortable conversations, Tuvy Le, Manager of the Alteryx ACE Program, sat down with her mentor (and frienemy) David Norwood. David is VP of Commercial Sales at Alteryx, was named the 2019 Sales Executive of the Year, and is a funny and warm presence at Alteryx headquarters. Tuvy and David had a chat about how having difficult conversations can ultimately lift people up, and why embracing diverse perspectives on your team is a key ingredient to a rich, fun and successful culture.

Episode 66: The Alteryx AMP Engine: Explained: Alteryx workflows are already fast, but the new architecture behind the Alteryx Engine, Alteryx Multi-threaded Processing (AMP), takes data processing performance to a whole new level. Sr. Manager of Community Content, Neil Ryan, sat down with Principle Engineer, Adam Riley, for a peek behind the curtain of the AMP development process, and a chat about “the why” behind this massive new release that was years in the making.
