What are Demand Signals?

I've been attempting the Alteryx Partner Exam and one of the questions has confused me as I do not know where I can find the answer. It is about the demand signals for Alteryx Promote, but I do not know what this means.

I believe that would be referring to the reasons a client might have a need for Promote.  For example, if your client is looking for a way to deploy predictive models faster.
