Under the hood of Alteryx: tips, tricks and how-tos.
If you open Alteryx Designer, and the Machine Learning, Text Mining and Computer Vision tabs show a padlock, you must install Intelligence Suite and activate a license to use it. This is because the Intelligence Suite is a Designer add-on (and has an additional cost).
If you drag one of the analytical blocks from one of those categories, a message will appear indicating to install the Intelligence Suite tools.
If you try to install Intelligence Suite without having Alteryx Designer installed, you will encounter the following error.
Note: To install Intelligence Suite, you must first have Alteryx Designer already installed on the computer.
To get started, go to https://licenses.alteryx.com.
Create user
Create a username and password to download the software.
After creating your username and password, you enter.
Note: These credentials will also be used to enter the Alteryx Community.
Select Alteryx Intelligence Suite
Version
To download Intelligence Suite there are two versions, Administrator, and Non-Administrator. The version you download must match the version of Designer you have installed.
If you do not remember what type of installation you have, you can consult Help -> About.
Download the compatible version for your version of Designer and double-click the icon to begin the installation, then click next.
When the installation is complete, it will display the following message.
Ready? Intelligence Suite is already installed on your computer.
The next step is to install the Intelligence Suite license so that you can start using it. You can use the Install and Activate Licenses instructions.
