API Workflow Uploads Not Updating New Versions

We are using the API endpoint /v3/workflows/{workflowId}/versions to upload workflows to Server. We are running into issues when trying to upload new versions of workflows. The version number and comments update, however the actual contents of the workflow do not. The workflow runs off the existing version. Is there another parameter in the API to specify overwriting a workflow? Or something else we are missing?

Did you find a solution here? I am working with the API and I am not getting the workflow to update in the Gallery, but I do see the history when calling the workflow from the API.

Alteryx support told me this issue is being resolved in the next GA release in January 2023. But no workaround until then.
