Logging is going to a random place.

We have set all logging on our Alteryx server to D: as we are not allowed to use the C: drive.   Somehow, logging is still flowing to C:\ProgramData\Alteryx\ErrorLogs\AlteryxE2.    We have never set the server up to run anything off the C: drive so I am curious what could be causing this to write here.   There is also logging in the D:\ProgramData\Alteryx\ErrorLogs folder so some is following the setup and others are not?

Any ideas?

@john_watkins

For better clarity, can you tell me which log files are stored in C-drive?

As you may know, location of log files can be specified in 'System Settings' for each log type(Service logs/Server logs/Engine logs, etc.) independently. Some of them might be set to C-drive.

ServerUI Logging Directory:  D:\ProgramData\Alteryx\Gallery\Logs

Engine.Temp Directory:  D:\ProgramData\Alteryx\Engine

Engine.Logging Directory:  D:\ProgramData\Alteryx\Logging

@john_watkins I found the possible cause in 'Known' issues for 2024.2. Is it applicable to your case by any chance?

Our logging issues were occurring when we were on 2023.1.   We just upgraded to 2024.2.  I hope we don't have more issues.
