After running a workflow I am unable to open the file containing output data. I can see it in my quick access files with the sync pending designation, but in the folder that I have mapped it to. When I try to open the file from quick access, I am met with a message saying 'Sorry, we couldn't find "File path, File path". Is it possible that it was moved, renamed, or deleted?'
I am not sure if this is a workflow issue, device issue, settings issue, or some combination of the three. Two separate colleagues of mine are able to successfully run the workflow and map the open file to the shared drive. As far as I can tell I am following their process/procedure exactly.
For context, the workflow is meant to merge two excels into one, a prior year and current year set of data respectfully, each with the same column headers.
Any help is appreciated, cheers.

In the log in the Alteryx results window, are you able to click on the name of the output file? Is a full path listed? Can you copy the path text and open the folder manually using File Explorer, then open the file manually?

Thank you for your response.
No - I am not seeing anything in the results window related to the output file. There is no message in the output log with a hyperlink to where I have specified to create the output file.
Also - not sure if it is relevant but for clarification purposes the workflow was created by a colleague of mine.

Are you using an output data tool? What type of output file are you creating? What is the file extension?
Can you post a screenshot of the workflow?

Can you write out the file to a short folder path, maybe to your machine, and open it? Then you'll know the problem isn't with Alteryx.
When I've received the message
Sorry, we couldn't find "File path, File path". Is it possible that it was moved, renamed, or deleted?'
it usually meant the full path was too long, or I had unusual characters somewhere in the folder path or the file name.

@jmeany2421
Do you have access to that folder?
You wrote that someone else create the WF.

Hi Chris - yes i have tried saving it to my desktop and a few other locations locally on my machine. I have also tried saving to the shared drive through Microsoft teams that is mapped to the file explorer.
Thank you

Issues like this can be difficult to figure out. I'm guessing it's not a problem caused by Alteryx. Try asking a technical desktop support person from your IT team.
Without additional details about the path, security, your mapped drives, other configuration on your machine..... it's almost impossible for us to help here.
