Hi,
In a workflow when I check the AMP box and change the temp folder location to some other folder, the temp files are still created in the default folder(C drive). Can somebody help me out with this as I want to use AMP engine to make my workflow run faster and don't want temp in default folder as it has low space so I use another folder. (Also when I don't check the AMP box and change the temp folder location, it works fine and temp is created in folder which I mentioned)

Are you using the most current version of AMP?
Thanks for indicating that without AMP that it uses the other directory.
note: I "never" use the c:\ drive for temporary storage. My default is always another drive.
cheers,
mark

Can you upgrade? I wouldn't use AMP on that version.

@TonyaS can possibly point you to documents.
for me, I use it with caution. I run large sets of data that benefit from the speed. When order of records is important I verify results closely.
For fast running workflows you won't benefit much in absolute time. When order matters I test a lot. I am cautious with amp.
cheers,

Thanks Mark for tagging me, I had not gotten through my email to see the notification on the original post yet.
I verified that the alternate temp file setting works on the 2022.3 Release Candidate, so it will be supported in our next upcoming release in Fall.
Unfortunately I confirmed that it did not yet work with the last 2022.1 GA Release. So you might want to wait until 2022.3 to update if you rely on this feature.
2022.3 will also have 86 additional tools supported with AMP as well as a new tool that allows users to run a comparison against multiple workflows at once analyzing result differences between original Engine and AMP.
I would also agree with Mark for any release versions prior to 2022.1 that AMP results be verified closely. Starting with the 2022.1 Release version we are confident that AMP is production ready and the record order differences can be eliminated by using the "Engine Compatibility Mode" setting located in the Workflow Configuration - Runtime settings tab.
Here is some additional documentation on AMP in case folks on this post are interested in exploring any of it:
