Maveryx Summer Cup 2024: Let the Competition Begin!

We know there are many users in our Community who enjoy competing… just look back at any Alteryx Grand Prix, and you will see it too!

Since we know you love a challenge, we are very excited to bring you the first inaugural Maveryx Summer Cup! The challenge starts on July 24^th—read on to learn how you can medal and get the glory this summer.

Earn Your Gold

The Maveryx Summer Cup event is a chance for you to earn points towards a bronze, silver, or gold medal (aka badge).

You can earn points by engaging in these categories below during the event—note that point values are different depending on the activity. Badges will be awarded after the event has concluded!

Connecting  

• Engage in an area in Community you never have before +75 

• Join a User Group +150   

• Fill out the Preferred Content section in your Preference Center on Mission Control +100  

• Update your bio on your Community profile +100 

Learning 

• Complete an Interactive Lesson +100

• Complete a Weekly Challenge +100 

• Complete a Cloud Quest +100

Sharing 

• Submit a Success Story +500 

• Share a workflow, app, or macro on the Gallery +150 

• Share your thoughts by commenting on a blog or podcast post +50 

• Answer unanswered questions +25 (+25 additional points if it is a non-English discussion thread)  

Here’s how we will tally these points up to determine your medal:

🥇Gold 500+ points 

🥈Silver 250-499 

🥉Bronze 100-249 

Ancillary Event

But wait, there’s more! We have another event where you can compete with other users by posting your high scores in this thread for the games hidden in Alteryx Designer. The leaderboard will be updated daily. 

Competition Timing

The Maveryx Summer Cup begins on July 24^th and runs through August 11^th. Complete the activities during this time frame to work your way to the gold.

Coming at you live with a medal count for the first week of the Maveryx Summer Cup! So far we’ve had over 800+ users participate for a medal, here’s a breakdown of the scores so far:

🥇Gold medals: 13

Here are some fun facts and tips for those of you still working your way up the winners podium:

• Our top contender has over 2,000 points and our top 5 users all have over 1,000 points!
• Hint: Doing Weekly Challenges is a great way to rack up points quickly👀
• All reporting and tracking for this event is done using Alteryx!
• Hint: You can earn points by doing the same challenge more than once

As we approach the final days of the Maveryx Summer Cup, we would like to share an update on the amount of medalists we have so far! The final day to participate is August 11th.

🥇Gold medals: 66

🥈Silver medals: 93

🥉Bronze medals: 2,401

There is still time to grab a Gold medal in the Summer Cup! An easy way to grab enough points would be to submit a Success Story about your successes using the Alteryx platform.

There is also still time to participate in the In-Product game championship! Go for the high score to be immortalized on the leaderboard at the end of the competition!
