Can anyone explain why we need to calculate DistanceMiles = [DistanceMiles] * [Assigned]?

Does 47 in [Assigned] means the shipping truck will travel 47 times from the store location to the closest warehouse?

Every time I start with these challenges, I find it helps to think: "What is the unit of measure?".
Here we want to calculate "item-miles" - the number of miles that each individual unit has to travel.

So if Two item 10's travel 100 miles: that's 200 item-miles.
So, Step 1: calculate item-miles
Step 2: Aggregate!

Hi Tara,

Could you please help understand why we need to calculate DistanceMiles = [DistanceMiles] * [Assigned]?

Does 47 in [Assigned] means the shipping truck will travel 47 times from the store location to the closest warehouse?

That was the only part that I was confused with.

Thanks a lot for your help.

Regards,

Teruo
