There are two train stations in Warrington, and it is easy to get to the Brookson Group office from either station.

Warrington Bank Quay - (15 min walk)

Turning right out of the station, and right up Slutchers Lane at the lights will be the easiest route.

Warrington Central - (25 min walk)

Turning left out of the station and heading up through the centre of Warrington is the most direct route.

Thanks for attending the first North West User Group of the 2025. We were once again hosted by The Brookson Group in Warrington (enjoying pizza and Alteryx is a great way to spend the evening)

This session we welcomed Mark Spain and Nicola Woodhouse to their first user group as leaders :)

Mark also took us through a plethora of Alteryx Best Practices, and Tips/Tricks. I think everyone can agree that moving away from the Data Cleanse tool and using the functions/steps that are inside that tool instead is a great idea.

Connor gave us a great overview of using DCM with Alteryx, allowing admin to control access to data sources, while making it simple for developers to connect to.

Jamie highlighted the benefits of using Auto Insights showing how simple it is to process your data and connect directly to Auto Insights (and how you can even use DCM in this tool as well). Showcasing some great use cases supporting department heads in reviewing their lead data supporting their business decisions.

I had a great time, thanks to everyone for being so welcoming - and a big thanks to our hosts at The Brookson Group!

I presented some of what I believe to be best practices for development and some tips I hope will make you a better developer. But I may have missed some good ones, so please do share your own tips too 😊
