Additionally, the authors of Weekly Challenges from the User Group that submits the most challenges for the October Takeover will all receive a special prize from the User Group Program Team!
Please refer to the attached document for submission details, evaluation criteria, and prize information.
Last year’s October Takeover was a great success, and we received many fantastic ideas.
Our four finalists were:
Ippei Nakagawa @gawa: Tokyo User Group; Challenge #391: Which Combinations of Pokémon Types Do Not Exist?
Charity Wilson @Charity_K_Wilson: Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas User Group; Challenge 392: Calculate Climate Extremes
Mya Starling @myastarling: Milwaukee User Group; Challenge 393: Find the Best Yarn
Talia Sanders @tsand22: Indianapolis User Group; Challenge 394: Fantasy Football Team
The big winner was @gawa who received 72 responses within the first week of posting his challenge, and over time, it accumulated around 150 responses. Check out his fantastic challenge for some inspiration!
Please contact us at academy@alteryx.com if you have any questions.
We are excited to review the innovative and creative challenges you submit. Let's make this year's Weekly Challenge User Group October Takeover even more fun and successful than the last!
Happy creating!

We had an incredible Alteryx User Group meeting in Mumbai, and it was fantastic to see data enthusiasts and Alteryx users come together to share insights, learn from each other, and network.
Here’s a quick recap of what went down:
Event Highlights:
1. Welcome and Introductions: The meeting kicked off with a warm welcome from our group leads. It was great to see new faces and returning members alike. Each participant had the opportunity to introduce themselves and share their Alteryx journey, which set a collaborative tone for the rest of the session.
2. Guest Speaker Session: We were thrilled to have Jifeng Qui : Japanese Alteryx Ace | 3D Team Manager at Toyo | Active Solution Author | Active Weekly Challenge Solver , share their experiences with Alteryx. The conversation on his journey to being an Ace provided deep insights and inspiration to the attendees to embark on a journey to being an ACE. The examples shared by our guest speaker on their use case for an organization like Toyo were interesting and unique.
3. User Case Study Presentations: Several members from our community presented their unique use cases and demonstrated how they optimized their data workflows, reducing processing time by 50%.
4. Alteryx For Good: We also had @SubratDas5 from Bengaluru User community present their experience and initiatives on Alteryx for Good cause. Subrat shared instances where the Bengaluru user group went to a charity and used Alteryx to automate tasks for that charity for example printing question papers for a school, getting ID cards ready etc. Their experiences were inspirational for the attendees and the group out here is already looking for opportunities to have a impact on our Local communities here in Mumbai.
5. Q&A and Open Discussion: The meeting concluded with an open floor for questions and discussions. Participants shared their challenges, sought advice, and exchanged tips and tricks. The collaborative spirit was evident as more experienced users offered guidance to those new to the platform.
6. Networking: Over light refreshments, attendees had the chance to network, exchange contact details, and discuss potential collaborations. The connections made here are invaluable and contribute to the growing strength of our Alteryx community.
Special Thanks: We extend our heartfelt thanks to our guest speaker, the presenters, and everyone who attended. Your contributions made this meeting a resounding success. We also appreciate Dorangos for providing the venue and support.
Next Steps: Stay tuned for details on our next meeting! We’re excited to continue building this community and exploring the endless possibilities with Alteryx.
If you have any suggestions for topics or speakers for future meetings, please reach out to the group leads.
Join the Conversation: Let’s keep the momentum going! Share your thoughts, feedback, and ideas on our Community Page. Your engagement is what makes our community thrive. Looking forward to seeing you all at our next meeting!

Hi All, Hope you all are doing good 😁
Our Mumbai's 1st In-Person Alteryx User Group Meeting was Blast 😎 and definitely encouraged to me host more upcoming AUG meetups 🎉 We had roughly around 13 people joining us in person and about 7 people joining virtually. Seeing their excitement I am pretty sure numbers are going to increase in the future.
We had an amazing guest speaker session by @JoshuaB, a lot of exciting user experiences shared during networking, and lots of fun during our fun games (Alteryx-themed in-person Bingo & Alteryx-themed virtual Pictionary)
