Hi everyone - our last event was a great time, thanks to all who joined! Our next one will be an informal coffee get together on Wednesday, December 4th from 1-3pm at the Aon Center in the new Intelligentsia Coffee Lounge (3rd floor). Coffee will be provided for free (from 1-2pm). Register today to save your spot, as space is limited to 30 people.
To access the building, please provide your name and ID to one of the two front desks at Aon Center (200 E Randolph St) and they will give you a day pass. There is a front desk in the south-facing lobby and another in the north-facing entrance. Then after swiping in, take the elevators from the ground floor up to the 3rd floor and walk to the East wing which is where the coffee lounge is (there are also 2 receptionists there).
We hope you can attend,

Hello Chicago User-Group Members!
I think it is about time that we have a virtual user-group meet-up next month! Please reply to this post showcasing your interest, best days for the meet-up to occur, and any topics you want to see at the event. Recently I put together a pretty good presentation on 'how to share workflows' which I would be excited present to you all.
I hope to hear from you soon!

We had a great turnout for our first Chicago User Group event in 3 years! Thank you again for Thoma Bravo for offering your space! Also thanks to our Alteryx reps Jake Barrutia, Bob Prochaska, and Jack Bisceglia for getting everything up and running. It was great seeing everyone in person and on video. Here is a recap of what happened at the event:
Alan Jacobson, Chief Data & Analytics Officer at Alteryx, gave a presentation on Non-Structured Data Analysis: Including Language Models and Generative AI.
We provided brief introductions for the people in the room and discussed our experience with Alteryx.
We then broke into separate groups based on experience and discussed our individual projects and use cases.
Afterwards, we went to Bar Mar (just downstairs in the same building) for more networking and to enjoy light food and beverages.
David Kwon and I will connect with our Alteryx resources to plan a Q4 event. Be sure to let your colleagues know about our user group and I look forward to hearing from more of you virtually and in person!

It was great seeing so many people yesterday, both virtually and in person. Wanted to continue the discussion with a simple question?
What's the latest project or task you're using Alteryx with?
For me, I'm revising a mapping review workflow that checks the entity mapping in our ERP against 2 third party sources for accuracy. The idea is that it may be the starting point for a table in our data lake so various users can reference it in reporting and analysis.
