We have a number of shared data connections on our Server, and are periodically encountering issues with running complex SQL, where it eventually times out and subsequently disconnects from the database. All occurrences of this issue are run through shared data connections on our server (mainly Oracle db at this time). My questions are:
- When you set up a shared data connection on your server, is there a default timeout setting applied? If so, what is the value?
- Is it possible to override the default setting in your connection string? If so, can someone assist me with the syntax, or direct me to a useful resource with more information?
