Gallery Workflow Runtime Limits

I was curious if there is a way to limit the runtime for workflows that are published in our Gallery? We have had cases where our users didn't limit the workflow with the App settings or kicks it off and it gets hung up based on back end processes. I would like to put a max runtime on workflows in the Gallery of 15min and if they run over that to pop an error message to contact myself for resolution. Thank you, Jamie P

Hi @JP2 ,

In the Alteryx System Settings, there is an option to "Cancel Jobs Running Longer Than." This will allow you to limit runtime for workflows in the Gallery.

Thank you @MichaelSu. So this would need to be done on each workflow correct, or is this a global setting per user?

This would be a global setting for all workflows on the Gallery. 

"If you do not want jobs to run for an extended period of time, you can use this setting to force jobs to cancel after a certain amount of time has passed. This will help to free up system resources that might otherwise be taken up by unintentionally long running jobs"
