I need to have a workflow begin by showing a user a map with polygons on it, from there they can select polygons and initiate an analysis.
I've tried this in the past with a file only to find a bug that has never been fixed (https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Server-Discussions/Map-showing-polygon-reference-file-as-an...) This is a really strange oversight, giving us a gallery map tool, but no way to preload it with data for the user? Even more strange is that this problem doesn't exist when run locally as an analytic app. Strange to have such a difference between local and gallery.
Maybe I can get around it by querying the polygons from a database? Is there a way to populate a map input tool with polygons queried from a database? All I see is an option for file.
