Tableau upload : TableauServer.Login Error transferring data: Couldn't connect to server

On Alteryx desktop 2023.1 we're getting Error transferring data to tableau : Couldn't connect to server for https://..../api/2.8/auth/signin under the same authentication from some desktops, others are fine and we can not quite figure out where the issue would be. The macro that we use for uploading to the tableau server has not changed (publishtotableauserver 2.1) and  alteryx versions are the same on the desktops concerned. Alteryx versions have not been changed on the machines in question. Ideas how to troubleshoot welcome

first try restarting Alteryx and then if the issue persists Try re-authenticating the connection to the Tableau Server on the affected desktops. Sometimes refreshing the authentication token can resolve such issues.

"refreshing the authentication token" being a change of the password?

Is your Tableau server in a VPN? are there IP restrictions? Are some users on your VPN? Going a different direction from @Raj here  - if some users can connect and some cannot - this sounds like an internal traffic/VPN issue.
