Spatial Objects not shown in .xlsx files

Hi Innovators!

Happy Friday.

Just want to ask for your thoughts. I have an issue regarding spatial objects. I have this reference file (.shp) and joined it to another file (.xlsx). I'm hoping each record will have a long and lat plus the spatial object. Upon checking via browse tool, it merge as seen on the screenshot but when I output it as a .xlsx file and load it on Tableau, it doesn't have the spatial object(geometry) measurement.

What kind of file should I output so that the spatial object will be included on my output.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks!

Hi,

You will need to output your data to either a database that supports spatial object type, or a .shp file or .hyper file, which are both supported by Tableau.

I used .hyper to save it and it works! Thanks Ben!
