Excel Formatting : Change Column Width

Hi All,

I am having trouble trying to change the column width on an excel i am using.

I am trying the Basic Table and Layout rendering tools but some of the columns are too wide even when i try using Width =  Fixed or Percentage. I just cant adjust some columns to be smaller

I need to know how i can make excel columns the width i need...some columns i want wide and others narrow...Can you help? 

The Excel attached show the before and after on what i need....after just shows some of the columns having their width go up or down
