Change default settings of Find & Replace

Is there any way to keep active "Case Insentive Find" an "Martch Whole Word Only", this post is more a rant than a question, more like a suggestion I guess.  Thanks ahead!

@Davemg1982 You can use Join tool when there is exact match of the words in both the sources.

Yes this can be done.
rightly said Join tool will match the exact word. 
as well as you can you find and replace tool as well in some scenarios as it has case sensitive check box.
