Does Alteryx publish a their Tool Categories where you can find a detailed description of the tools in a report format, so you can look up the different tool in a printed version?
https://help.alteryx.com/current/Multidimensional_Scaling.htm
Like something similar to the "Tips and Ticks" publications.

Have you checked out this online page https://help.alteryx.com/current/Getting_Started/ToolCategories.htm ?
Using it, you could create a printable version.

Yes. But I was wondering if it was possible to create a printable version of all the tools or for example make a printable version of all the tools within "Data Investigation"?

I clicked on the printer icon and set the output to pdf. Is this what you are asking for? I've attached the pdf.

Not entirely.
In this case, if then want a printable version of all the 'expanded' sections like https://help.alteryx.com/current/Association_Analysis.htm, https://help.alteryx.com/current/BasicDataProfile.htm?tocpath=Tools%7CTool%20Categories%7CData%20Inv..., ... etc. in one PDF file.
I could do this manually, but I was just wondering if this was available in some kind of 'catalogue'?

I think that the answer to the catalogue is no. Perhaps this is something for you to put into the ideas? Until then, I think that you could create a user-sourced document and possibly share it back to community.
