We've been incredibly happy with the success of Alteryx Academy and the opportunities for growth it has provided to customers since we first launched. That said, as we've begun to expand our footprint into new markets around the world its become clear that for some teams, language is a barrier to making Academy a globally accessible resource. In an effort to break down these barriers, and empower analysts across the globe with the tools they need to be successful, we made a decision to step out of our comfort zone and take on the challenge of localizing training resources.
With a multitude of languages already available in Designer and global Community expansion plans well underway, we had some flexibility in choosing which language to focus on as our first step. We knew that if we were going to localize to different languages, we could either work our way up to Japanese and learn little lessons along the way, or go the baptism by fire route.
When the latter was chosen, the only thing left was to find a formidable Instructional Designer who was up to the task. We brought @SaoriG onto the team. Saori immediately started diving into Designer, building lessons, reviewing the product, determining tone, and messaging & style, for interactive lessons.
Everything available in the Japanese language Academy is all thanks to the hard work and dedication that Saori brings to Alteryx and our customers.
We hope you take the time to check out Alteryx Academy on the Japanese Community (even if you don't speak Japanese). I found it surreal to sit down and watch how other users around the world are experiencing our wonderful product.
Alteryx Academy in Japanese was built to empower users, like you, to consume training content and seamlessly engage in your preferred language. Today, there are three modalities available to guide you on your learning journey.
Choose between interactive lessons created by professional instructors, solve fun weekly challenges at your own pace, and when you're ready to test your aptitude around the 'core' toolset in Alteryx — take a stab at becoming Alteryx Certified. Read the announcement in Japanese to learn more.
Check it out and let us know what you think. We’ll be deploying learning resources in additional languages in the future. Stay tuned!
