Went in circles for a while and probably used too many tools to get this one done, but good learning experience

Solution attached. Took the approach of using a record id and the DateTimeFormat function to derive the Month field.

That one took longer than necessary, I was resolved not to type in the months.... but on the end I did!

I have limited experience working with the Multi-Row Formula,  This was a good opportunity to explore it.

Nice and simple. I think I may have approached this in a slightly different manner due to the fact that I don't like large nested formulae.

I used Regex to tokenise the Year value into a separate column then used a multi-row formula to fill in the blanks for the Month and Year columns (numerically).
I then used the date parser to convert these fields accordingly.

Probably a bit over-complicated flow (+ additional mapping file, is it cheating?) but without super long conditional statement at least.
