Google BigQuery Help Page
Use the Google BigQuery Tools to query and write data to tables in Google BigQuery from Alteryx Designer.
Current version
Google BigQuery Tools v3.0.0 (April 28, 2021)
-
Compatible with Alteryx version 2019.3 and later.
-
Updated the Google BigQuery Output tool to utilize bulk file write instead of streaming records to BigQuery. The tool now loads JSON files from the local machine into BigQuery. This resolves issues where records could be dropped during overwrite (DE28086).
-
End user authentication now works in proxy environments (DE25315).
-
Users can now see more than 50 projects in tool UI (DE28143).
- Required Python package updates.
Previous versions
Google BigQuery Tools v2.0.1 (June 9, 2020)
-
Requires Alteryx version 2019.3 or higher.
-
Issue resolved where Input tool would fail when run on gallery without Pre and Post SQL configuration (DE25686).
- Minor UI text changes.
Google BigQuery Tools v2.0.0 (May 21, 2020)
-
Requires Alteryx version 2019.3 or higher.
-
Support for pre/post SQL queries is now available.
-
Tool now supports Append Existing and Overwrite table functionality.
-
Tool allows multi-level nested schema.
-
Support for repeated data types (i.e. BigQuery arrays) is now available.
-
Tool supports reading and writing None values.
-
Tool now shows more than 50 tables per schema - DE18562.
- Tool no longer fails when using Decimal\Numeric data types - DE20090.
Google BigQuery Tools v1.0.3
- Fixed bug where connector connector would crash if a BigQuery dataset did not have any tables.
Google BigQuery Tools v1.0.2
-
Fix issue where default value settings were occasionally not respected.
- Disabled production logging to prevent permissions issues for different installations/configurations of Designer and support scheduled workflow functionality.
Google BigQuery Tools v1.0.1
- Fixed issue preventing packages from being installed successfully.
Google BigQuery Tools v1.0.0
- Initial release - Google BigQuery Input and Google BigQuery Output.
This tool uses a .yxi file format. A .yxi file is a package that includes an Alteryx Tool and all of its dependencies zipped into a single file. When this file is imported into Alteryx, the tool is added to the tool palette in the category specified by the tool.
When sharing a workflow that uses a .yxi tool, the tool is not included and must be installed by the recipient.

I'm on 2022.1 Alteryx and version 3.0.0 of Big Query tools. I've set up the service to Service connection and can even browse the tables in my project, but I keep getting the following error.
On another forum, there was a recommendation to allow proxy configuration from the user settings and I've done that but it says no proxy is in use to configure.
Does anyone @AlteryxProducts know how to get past this?

Try downloading version 1.01 first and then progress through the other versions as needed. I think a dependency is being dropped as the new versions are getting released.
