The Alteryx SparkED Program hosted its first scholar fireside chat with two accomplished and knowledgeable Alteryx executives as panelists. Charita McClellan, DEI Manager, and Gary Spakes, Field CTO, joined SparkED scholarship recipients in an engaging discussion surrounding data analytics, career and professional guidance, and leveraging Alteryx in your career.
The Alteryx SparkED Scholarship Program is intended to provide financial assistance, career experiences, and meaningful engagements to learners who show interest in data analytics, and who are from a diverse range of backgrounds, educational environments, and fields of study.
The panel discussed a wide range of topics relevant to the students’ interests, including data science and IT, early in career advice, accounting, and human resources. Students and educators from multiple universities around the country asked thoughtful questions that covered the whole spectrum, from the basics (“What are some of the most important skills you’ve found valuable in your role?”) to the more complex (“What is the biggest challenge in your respective fields?”).
