Data Prep U is hosting another training session for our user group.

Title of Presentation: Using the DVW Alteryx Connector for SAP to run table data and T-code reports

Who should attend:  Knowledge workers in Accounting, Tax, Audit, Finance in businesses running SAP (ECC or S/4Hana)
Description: We will show you how to easily extract SAP general ledger accounting data from SAP ECC & SAP S/4Hana into Alteryx with the Alteryx connector for SAP powered by DVW Analytics.  Key insights:

  • Logging on to SAP's application layer (vs database layer) allows for the SAP GUI security profiles to be respected
  • Understanding SAP data structure:  Knowing the difference between the header (BKPF) and item (BSEG) tables is crucial for accurate data extraction.  This helps effectively compiling comprehensive reports.
  • Using DVW ACS report tools you can automate the conversation of common T-code reports into useful data that can be easily fed downstream into the Alteryx workflow, resulting in compelling efficiencies.

Hey,

Looks like I just missed it. Is there a recording of this meeting or info on when the next meeting is scheduled for?

Thanks,

Ace

We recorded the session, and I will post it in the recap when it is finished processing. We are still planning future meetings. Is there anything you would like us to cover?

Oh great! I'll be sure to watch it. I've subscribed so that should notify me of when it does get posted. I'm fairly new to my career in Finance using Alteryx so other than Macros applications or cloud database usage, I'm just curious to the opportunities Alteryx offers within my field. Thank you for the reply!

Hello, I missed the training as well. Where can I find the recording? I am new to Alteryx and this training is valuable to me.

Was the recording ever posted?

Yes, there was a separate post for the Recap which contains the recording.

I was also looking forward to the session but unfortunately missed it due to a scheduling conflict. I'm looking forward to the recording being posted.
