Hello Denver user group!
First off, a huge thank you to everyone who was able to attend our Q3 Denver UG Meeting at the Alteryx Technology office in Broomfield. We continue to hear praise for how active and engaged our group is, and it is all thanks to your support.
Next, an even bigger thank you to Heather Harris (@HeatherMHarris) and Jesse Clark (@Claje) for making the trek to Colorado to speak with us.
Finally, thank you to Alteryx, Cat Martinez, and Tuvy Lee for all of their help with such a great event!
RECAP
This quarter's session began with a fairly massive update on Alteryx For Good (commonly referred to as AFG). Lori from Alteryx provided an excellent presentation regarding Alteryx Corporate Social Responsibility, and how they are changing the game by way of promoting volunteerism, focusing on local nonprofits and students. Even the smallest act of kindness can have huge positive impacts on others, so if you have chosen to go down the path of an AFG Ambassador, please let the Alteryx team know by posting to your preferred social platform, tagging #alteryxforgood.

Next, we were proud to host Alteryx ACEs Heather and Jesse in a fireside style panel discussion, focusing on topics from the audience. Some topics included creating and promoting a culture of data excellence, which are two entirely separate things, but are intertwined and dependent on each other to succeed. Personally, this was my highlight as the conversation between the two of them was incredibly valuable, and hearing their personal experiences resonated with many in our audience.
And for the cool panorama, taken while I (Chad) was moderating:
For our final agenda item, we held a trivia game using the Kahoot.it platform, where a series of questions were presented on screen. Each user could log in using a special code to compete for Alteryx swag! Questions ranged from tool specifics to early company events to hidden Easter eggs in the product (did you know there are Easter eggs??). If you enjoyed this, please let us know as we would love to continue this in future user group meetings!
Follow Up
While we do have a phenomenal user group, we are always looking for speakers and hosts to share their success, failures and how they overcame them, and use cases. If you need help with your presentation, we are happy to assist! Please email usergroups@alteryx.com to learn more.
Thank you again, see you soon for Q4DUG!
