Hi, DFW User Group Members; please save the date for the upcoming August user group meeting, which will be Friday, August 9th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Central time.  This meeting will be virtual, and a Zoom link and passcode will be posted soon, along with a list of guest speakers and topics!

Hi, DFW Alteryx User Group Members!  A quick update to let you know that we have a great list of topics for the upcoming virtual meeting!

• We will have a presentation by one of the Alteryx Product team, showcasing the newest features in the latest release - join the meeting, and get the chance to ask your product questions! 
• Updates regarding SparkED program opportunities, as well as Alteryx For Good initiatives will be provided.  There are quite a few upcoming opportunities to volunteer for each program!
• A Tips and Tricks session will be featured as well; these are always enlightening, and sometimes the smallest technique can make a huge impact in using Alteryx and saving time.

Hi, Maveryx!  We had an awesome DFW Alteryx User Group meeting in August, with excellent presentations!  We started with a Tips and Tricks session, which showcased numerous cool techniques ranging from details regarding Analytic Apps, to using the Message Tool, to configuring the Make Columns Tool and applying the Reverse String formula.  Special thanks to Alteryx ACE Alberto "AJ" Guisande @Aguisande , who provided the Tips and Tricks workflows - plus a very fun illustrated Alteryx VW Bus character!  Lots of great comments were posted in the chat by our members, confirming that the Tips and Tricks sessions are always useful!

Next, Alteryx ACE and 2022 Inspire Grand Prix Winner Claire McCollough @clmc9601 presented an engaging summary of her two new Alteryx blog posts on "Workflow Strategy:  Practical Application Deep Dive".  She discussed the concepts of Generalizability, Scalability, and Maintainability, and how to choose which strategy to best fit your particular environment and use case.  Thank you, Claire, for these very helpful ideas to assist us in "thinking outside the workflow box"!  To read the full blog posts, please visit these links:

Alteryx ACE Chris Williams @chriswilliams41 , founder and CTO of Precision Analytics Group, then presented Part II of the Tips and Tricks session, where he expanded our knowledge by featuring Workflow Constants and how to utilize them in various scenarios.  This sparked some good conversations and questions about innovative methods for applying Workflow Constants, and generated quite a few ideas!  Thank you to Chris for sharing these additional and beneficial Alteryx tips!
