Get the Alteryx Starter Kit for Tableau

Today Alteryx released the Alteryx Starter Kit for Tableau. This kit enables you to get started with Alteryx and Tableau faster and easier. It includes datasets, Alteryx workflows and Tableau dashboards so you can see and understand how to work with Alteryx and Tableau, and then get started working with your own data.

If you have been trying to create dashboards, or blend your data faster, or perform advanced analytics without coding, the Starter Kit is the way to go. It includes the following examples:

Download the Starter Kit now, and if you don’t already have Alteryx and Tableau, make sure to download the Alteryx Trial and the Tableau Trial so you can see the results. Install the Alteryx Trial and the Tableau Trial, and then install the Starter Kit. In Alteryx, you will find the samples in the menu under Help/Sample Workflows/Tableau Starter Kit Samples (If you have Alteryx 9.5, the location is slightly different, but you’ll see that in the instructions document when you install the kit).

As you open and run each of these workflows, you will see in the output window a link to the Tableau Dashboard that is being updated.

You can press the link and launch the Tableau dashboard.

Explore this viz and see how you are able to discover how your customers are being acquired through multiple channels. Then go back to the Alteryx workflow and start plugging in your own data to drive this dashboard. That’s the beauty of the Starter Kit – the work is done for you, you just have to plug in your data.
