Previously I have blogged about why customers advocate, but it doesn’t end there.  Business Partners are in a unique position to advocate as they play an important role in the customer’s journey to becoming a data-driven organization.  Many partners work with Alteryx customers on a daily basis and are focused on a shared goal, whether it is big or small.  In the end, the customer’s success is also the partner’s victory.

When you think about success, recognition comes to both the individual and the organization.  Advocacy allows you to amplify these achievements through multiple channels.  It showcases skills, instills customer confidence, elevates the brand and is a differentiator within a highly competitive market.

Not convinced?  Here are some things to consider about the benefits of advocating:

  1. Building the brand—for you and your company.  Partners gain publicity from advocacy that can come in the form of use cases, case studies, webinars, and speaking events.  At a company level, you are showing how innovative and forward-thinking your organization is which increases revenue opportunities.  At the personal level, you are establishing your reputation as someone who has the expertise to deliver the best solution with the desired outcome.

  1. Professional and business advancement. Through advocacy, you can highlight leadership, decision making, and value that can be instrumental in career development.  Your want to establish yourself within an expansive network through participation in community, technical forums, user groups and speaking engagements to elevate your overall leadership and credibility within the analytics space.  From a company perspective, your passion and success attracts new talent that can grow your organization with the unsurpassed skills.

  1. Influence product direction. Partners who have invested and tied their reputation and success to the Alteryx solution want to establish a two-way relationship.  By strengthening that connection, you can can participate in beta programs and communities to provide input that can potentially influence the product roadmap and direction.

  1. Establish relationships with peers. You want to build relationships with your counterparts so that you can learn best practices and avoid pitfalls to accelerate your success.  More importantly, advocates also provide mutual support and endorsement from like-minded people.  These relationships can be facilitated through participation in advisory boards, user groups and customer events.

  1. Find the next best business opportunity. Through relationships, experience and observations, you and your organization can accelerate growth by developing a presence in new markets and industries that have been exposed to you through advocacy activities.

Okay, if these business benefits aren’t enough, you can also earn a very cool hoodie and an Advocacy.Amplified badge through your advocacy activities.  You just need to sign up for the program and record your activities.   Click here to learn more!
